Readers demand more on the web than publishers can offer. Lacking the information they want, readers turn to sites like Wikipedia, YouTube, Amazon, IMDB for background and context, taking them off the page.

Founded in 2007, Apture is the leading provider of context for readers and publishers. By adding Apture's simple code to their website, publishers can plug the holes in their content and let readers open related background material, view related photo slideshows, or watch videos from these popular destinations, all in an innovative second layer that keeps users on the page. Best of all, it doesn't require any editorial effort.

Apture's network spans thousands upon thousands of sites, from small educational blogs and personal websites, to non-profits, to large sites like the New York Times, Financial Times, Reuters, and others. If you're a publisher, why not give it a try.
